AGENDA 010/09/18 Week 9 & 10

Students will be in testing rooms on Wednesday for Benchmark testing for Reading and Writing.  Students should bring a book to read.

There is a test on 10/26/2018 - Circulatory, Respiratory, Excretory (Urinary) and Integumentary Systems

Students will be learning about Human Body Systems: Circulatory, Respiratory, Integumentary, Excretory(Urinary), Skeletal, Muscular, Digestive, Nervous, Reproductive and Endocrine.

CAT words are the systems themselves and key organs within those systems.  there is a more complex focus by learning how the systems work with each other to help the body adapt and respond to change.  This connects back to the prior lesson which had critical words like stimulus and response.  

There are several resources we will use including STEMscopes, KidsHealth, PBS Human Body, Quizlet, Quizizz and worksheets.  Canvas will have all assignments pointing to the resource links.

Please read with your students.  We will be reading from STEMscopes and completing Summary Squares for each reading.  The purpose is to help students identify key words and phrases and learn to create summary notes.  The real reasons are to improve reading skills, increase retention and become self sufficient learners.  They need your help reviewing notes each night.
